On 12 September 2026, BHA held its first Joyous Party with YWCA Tai O, bringing children, families and volunteers together for games, lunch and a birthday celebration.
Games included musical chairs and a rope game, while lunch included pasta, chow mein, chicken wings and sandwiches. The birthday song was sung in Cantonese, English, Mandarin, French and Spanish. Philip from YWCA helped organise the party.
Moments from the party
- Games and laughter: Icebreaker games helped everyone get to know one another, with face painting adding to the fun.
- Lunch together: Children and adults sat down to eat, chat and enjoy each other’s company.
- Birthday wishes: Everyone joined in the birthday song as the children made wishes and blew out the candles, before sharing the cake.
- A gift for every child: Each participating child received a gift to take home.
Thank you to YWCA Tai O, the families and our BHA volunteers for celebrating together.
